SINOPSIS

La irrupción con fuerza de los “smartphones” con cámara fotográfica de calidad aceptable ha supuesto un toque de atención para el mundo de la fotografía. Se hacen y comparten a diario más fotografías que nunca, y, a pesar de la creencia generalizada de que la calidad de esas imágenes es baja, podemos encontrar entre ellas proyectos coherentes y de calidad realizados incluso por recién llegados a la fotografía.

En este Seminario analizaremos el porqué de esta revolución en el mundo de la fotografía y qué podemos y debemos aprender de ella. Estudiaremos la nueva herramienta y sus posibilidades de utilización para realizar un proyecto fotográfico. Todo sin olvidar su relación directa con los nuevos canales de difusión fotográfica por Internet que son, sin duda, una de las bases de su éxito explosivo.

PROGRAMA

Viernes 4/05:

  • La fotografía con teléfonos móviles. Orígenes. El boom de la iPhoneografía. Visionado de proyectos de autor realizados con “smartphones”.
  • Posibilidades de difusión en Internet.
  • Técnica básica. Conocimiento de la cámara, puntos fuertes y débiles. Herramientas incorporadas de edición y de compartición en Internet.
  • PRÁCTICA

Viernes 11/05:

  • Puesta en común de los resultados de la práctica. Comentarios y dudas.
  • Dónde compartir nuestro trabajo y cómo captar la atención del público que nos interesa. Los canales de difusión vía Internet: fotoblogs, webs de fotografías, apps, redes sociales, etc.
  • PRÁCTICA
  • Conclusiones acerca del movimiento de la fotografía móvil y su repercusión en la redefinición de la fotografía tradicional. Adaptación del fotógrafo al nuevo mapa de la fotografía.

REQUERIMIENTOS

Nociones básicas de fotografía y uso de Internet.

LO QUE DEBE APORTAR EL ALUMNO

Smartphone, preferiblemente iPhone de Apple o modelo avanzado con cámara y sistema operativo Android. Imprescindible WI-FI o contrato de datos vigente.

‘Love the One you’re With’

Opening next Saturday March 4th  the exhibition “Love the One you’re with” nature photography with a mobile phone will be open to public at Odapark Contemporary Art center in Venray, The Netherlands.

 

Exhibited works include 9 images from Jordi V. Pou’s new mobile phone photography project “Perfect Nature“, all printed to A2 size (594 x 420 mm/23.4 x 16.5 in).

Kokovoko.info Exhibition Announced

Finally, after many group exhibitions all around the world, a kokovoko.info project solo exhibition will open on March 8th 2012 in Lleida, my hometown, the real stage of my kokovoko images.

 

 

Exhibition will be in the Gothic Hall of Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs, a nice and big hall from XV century  just in the middle of Lleida. It will include 60 framed prints, an access to Kokovoko.info blog, and a special Kokovoko/Lleida map. A limited edition catalog will also be published.

 

Exhibition will be open Tuesday to Sunday till May 13th (week days full day and Sunday only morning ). There will also be a Jordi V. Pou conference by mid April, exact date to be announced.

 

Exhibition “Latitud 0: iPhoneografia” Latitudes Festival

Opening of the exhibition “Latitud 0: iPhoneografia” included in this year Latitudes International Photography Festival in Huelva, Spain.

 

Exhibition shows the work done with a mobile phone by six invited photographers, including Jordi V. Pou. Exhibition shows 8 framed prints from Kokovoko.info project.

Opening Conference at Latitudes Photography Festival

Jordi V. Pou was invited to do the opening talk at the Latitudes International Photography Festival in Huelva, Spain. The conference, named “The new dimension of Photography. iPhoneography and its consequences“, was included in the official opening act held at the University of Huelva on Monday February 13th.

Conference at GrisArt photography school in Barcelona

On friday February 3rd Jordi V. Pou was invited to do a conference on “Active Fridays” activities organized by GrisArt Photography School in Barcelona.

 

Jordi presented his actual project Kokovoko.info and explained his opinions about how new technologies are changing photography. Conference named “Kokovoko. The new maps of photography” was similar to the Emergent Festival one, but longer.
