Some info from Slideluck Potshow site :

“Slideluck Potshow (SLPS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art.  SLPS operates multimedia slideshows combined with potluck dinners in about forty cities around the world.  For each event, artists submit up to five minutes worth of images and guests bring along delicious food to share.

As much as SLPS celebrates physically bringing people together, there is also a emphasis on connecting people online, from one community to the next.  With few exceptions, all of the work that is presented on the big screen will be archived on this website, so once an artist shows work at a SLPS, they automatically engage our larger, global community.

Recently named as one of the “NewYork100” most innovative, rule-breaking, model-changing, ideas to come out of the Big Apple, Slideluck strives to find innovative ways to collaborate with like-minded individuals, organizations, and festivals.  In NYC, a massive outreach is taking place to the urban agricultural and foodie community, and a pending attempt was even made to claim The Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Potluck on Earth.  In Los Angeles, SLPS just put together a show that focused exclusively on women’s issues and in Stockholm, on World Environment Day, Slideluck did a show with our planet as the theme.

Slideluck Potshow has had the pleasure of working with a number of the world’s most influential and prestigious galleries, museums, foundations and art fairs.  Participating artists have included:  Chuck Close, Spencer Tunick, Gregory Crewdson, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Shepard Fairey, Nadav Kander, Edward Burtynsky and Elliott Erwitt.  Slideluck Potshow has also been reported on by a number of major news outlets, including: The New York Times, Bloomberg TV, The Washington Post,Brazilian VOGUE, WNYC, GOOD Magazine, Photo District News, Mashable, The Chicago Tribune, Popular Photography Magazine, Cool Hunting, Zink Magazine andThe New Yorker.”
